After graduating from Baylor in 2004, I was hired to work as an animator on Richard Linklater's A Scanner Darkly, starring Keanu Reeves, Robert Downey Jr., Woody Harrelson and Winona Rider. The movie used a technique called interpolated rotoscoping, that allowed us to animate over pre-recorded footage - thus preserving the actors performances and capturing the subtle unconcious movements that bring a character to life.
