One of my favorite projects that I was honored to work on was the South Austin Music mural, located at 1402 Lamar Blvd (next to the Saxon Pub). The idea arose when owner Bill Welker wanted to celebrate his 20th anniversary of being in business by doing something special and creative for the community that had kept in business throughout the years.

South Austin is home to a thriving local music scene and many celebrated artists, so it was very meaningful to be able to commemorate 30 musicians on the 40-foot wall.
"I watched Aaron from the beginning... The weather would be frightful and there he would be, up on the scaffolding. He's an amazing person and artist. So many customers (I worked next door at the glass shop) - would come in and make comments. Many of them were local who's who in Austin. So many had a blast naming all the artist.
